Description :
Rarely can one witness such extremes of human emotions and distress. Voluntarily inflicted. The finish line of the Marathon.
Men and women arrive after 42.2 km of rising pain and, after a burst of happiness, often collapse to the ground. Teams of first aid workers are there to help and assist of all those who need. And for a few seconds or minutes they will make sure they get what they need: stretching, water, muscular massage, and then point them to more specific help zone. For three hours they repeat those same words and gestures meant to appease and assist all the runners.
